Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger and the rest of the star-studded panel of judges would agree: a “The Masked Singer” themed party is a great way to get everyone together! Here are four tips for hosting an absolute rager for your friends.
Use Costumes
The costumes are an integral part of “The Masked Singer”, so use this concept in your party planning — have your guests create their own unique disguises specifically for the party. When everyone arrives, take turns trying to guess who’s who using subtle clues in their outfits and body language. Make sure you give your guests plenty of notice before the party to start working on their character designs, and give everybody a chance to reveal themselves when they’re ready!
Get Everyone Involved With Karaoke
The show is all about covering famous songs, so why not incorporate some karaoke? You can invest in a karaoke machine or simply use your phone or laptop to play music while everyone sings along. To take things a step further, you can allow each guest to perform solo, just like in the show. After each performance, the ‘audience’ can give feedback and determine who’s next to take their mask off. Before the party, take some time to learn your guests’ musical preferences and favorite songs; this way, everyone is sure to have something they like in the playlist.
Binge the Show
A TMS party wouldn’t be much fun if your guests are missing out on the show! Consider having the series ready to binge when everyone is ready to sit down, relax and eat. You can start with Season 1, Episode 1 or play everyone’s favorite episodes. If you have guests that are new to the show, you may even want to create a tournament chart to keep track of the current characters and performances in the latest episode. If nothing else, this is a great backup plan in case there’s a lull in the party, and the show can be streamed on apps like Hulu and Tubi.
Have Fun With Themed Decorations
If you want to take things up a notch, decorate your party environment in theme with the show! You can take influence from everyone’s favorite characters by using their color palettes in your decorations, and filling the space with streamers, balloons, confetti and other decorative pieces can give the whole area a fun, festive atmosphere.
No matter what you’re celebrating, a TMS-themed party is a great way to go about it!
