How to keep your central nervous system fit & healthy?

The human nervous system is of two types, Central and peripheral. We will talk in detail about the central nervous system and balance it with a healthy lifestyle.

The central nervous system is composed of the brain and spinal cord, performing all the basic and essential functions of a body. The network of neurons is spread widely all over the body. Hunger, thirst, balancing, learning, feeling pain and pleasure, aggression, heartbeat, sensation, all these constituents of life are performed by CNS. But when some neurons or cells are disrupted or become inactive, our system becomes weak. Headache, loss of smell, mental disability, not feeling pain, severe back pain are some of the symptoms of vulnerable CNS. If you are dealing with these symptoms nowadays, these steps might be helpful for you to start a healthy and fresh lifestyle and get rid of weakness.

1. Daily Exercise

Some mild exercises, yoga or swimming, can help reduce your stress and activate your neurons. Exercise doesn’t mean that you have to run or lift heavyweights. You can also exercise your mind by solving basic puzzles or a riddle. Many pieces of research have shown that daily exercise activates the neuronal tissues, settles the nerves, and calms your mind.

2. Have a proper sleep

If you are dealing with a sudden headache or pain, a primary cause is your incomplete sleep. A human should sleep 8 to 13 hours per day for a healthy nervous system and coordination. Dealing with tension or depression can lead to a lack of sleep, resulting in a weak CNS and chances of heart problems, diabetes, and high blood pressure.

3. Exposure to sunlight

When you spend some time in sunlight daily, a lot of your health problems are solved. Sunlight is an essential source of Vitamin D, which regulates the calcium and phosphate in our body. It is a crucial constituent that can be made by our body when exposed to sunlight. Moreover, sunlight boosts energy and relaxes our neurons and signals. It also promotes mental health and prevents lots of diseases.

4. Meditation practice

Meditation has a long history of use for increasing calmness and physical relaxation, improving psychological balance, coping with illness, and enhancing a person’s overall health. It is an essential and straightforward technique to close your eyes and focus on any object or anyone thought. It helps a lot in relaxing your sympathetic nervous system and getting rid of stress and headache.

5. Drink a cup of green tea every day

Green tea additionally contains L-theanine, which is an amino corrosive that influences the focal sensory system. Caffeine and L-theanine cooperate in developing cerebrum work further. They likewise increment dopamines, serotonin, and alpha waves inside the cerebrum. Green tea helps a lot to reduce anxiety and stress, boosts our mood, and relaxes our nerves. 

6.  Healthy food items

Eating healthy food and the right supplements can help in maintaining a healthy nervous system, coordination and keeping it fit and healthy. Green leafy vegetables are rich in Vitamin B complex, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Magnesium, which are essential for the proper functioning of our nervous system. Broccoli, spinach, eggs, and fish are the primary sources of energy and folate.

Olive oil is an essential source of functioning the nervous system properly.

Pomegranate, apples, and bananas are also very beneficial. Bananas are high in B vitamins, which help calm the nervous system. Moreover, the vitamin B6 that bananas contain regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

Eat at least one fruit daily to help heal damaged nerves. Berries, peaches, cherries, oranges, and watermelon, among others, are loaded with antioxidants, which reduce nerve damage and activate our energy.

Additional steps:

  • Give yourself a break.
  • Don’t stress much.
  • Don’t take tobacco or nicotine.
  • Drink a lot of water.
  • Walk barefoot.
  • Spend quality time with family and friends.
  • Take plenty of rest.
  • Eat almonds and chocolates.

These are just some of the basic lifestyle changes you can make to keep your nervous system fit and healthy.
