One day about 12 months ago, I was sat talking over a cup of coffee with a friend and as we always do, the conversation moved onto skin care. I’d been complaining for a few minutes about my blackheads and the overall condition of my skin and I asked what products she used – as her skin was always amazing. She responded “I get all my products from Perfec-Tone – have done for years”.
I’m someone who’s not really bought many things online before, preferring to go to the drug store to get the products for my skin care routine. I’ll be honest and say that I’d never heard of the company, but the evidence that whatever she was using was working was clear.
It Arrived By Courier the Next Day…
So, I ordered my clarifying gel from their website. I opened up the package that arrived the next day from Perfec-Tone and there was my clarifying gel. When I looked inside, there was the rather jazzy looking pump dispenser with the brands name emblazoned on the front.
The instructions of the packaging directed me to use it each morning and night, which I did dutifully for the next few weeks. I loved the fact that it was a ‘leave on’ product that I didn’t need to clean away afterwards, as too much cleansing can make my breakouts irritated.
Slowly But Surely, It Started Working
After about 2-3 weeks of regular use, I felt a firmness to my skin that I hadn’t experienced in quite some time and even my zits were starting to get smaller and less noticeable. Before I started using it, I would get a new pimple or two every couple of days, but afterwards, that extended to 3, 4, 5 days and then they stopped appearing completely.
It wasn’t all plain sailing though…
During the first few days of using my Perfec-Tone clarifying gel, I noticed that I was getting a stinging feeling over my face, which actually made me think that I’d made the wrong choice. I shared my concerns with my friend rather than doing anything rash (no pun intended) and she said that it was something that would pass.
I then looked on their website and found some info about it in their FAQs section. Apparently it happens because new skin is coming through, so I persevered and I’m so glad I did!
Results Beyond Anything I Could Have Expected
The advice that my friend gave me that day over coffee is possibly the best skin care advice I’ve ever gotten. The Perfec-Tone clarifying gel I used was so good and so effective that I’ve since changed pretty much all of my skin care products to my new brand.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the improvement that it’s made to my complexion is life-changing, as I’ve now got a confidence in myself that I’ve never really had before. I’ve even started wearing makeup to work and anyone who knows me will tell you – that’s just not me!
Now I use their exfoliating cleanser, their Miracle moisturizer and resurfacing cream and my skin has never looked better. I now understand the difference that paying a little more makes and now you won’t find me buying any of my skin care products at the drug store – ok, maybe a cleansing wipe or two.
Your takeaway from reading my review should be that this is very much a company that’s worth trying out, as I had no preconceptions before using their products and in my opinion, they’re awesome.
