The Full-Funnel

Any entrepreneur, e-commerce manager, or marketing professional should be familiar with the full-funnel Facebook Ads strategy. Understanding the fundamentals of a person’s purchasing process can assist you in developing a more successful plan to reach your business goals.

The phases a person goes through before converting are represented by a marketing funnel. The journey begins when a person learns about a product or service and concludes when an action is done, such as an acquisition, membership, or other goal based on the company’s objectives.

The marketing funnel comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. Nowadays, firms and enterprises may even be found that have defined a distinct funnel in their operation. However, in this case, we’ll concentrate on discussing the most common or conventional one. 

These are the three steps that we’ll go over in more depth later:

  • TOFU (Top of the Funnel): Awareness and Discovery
  • MOFU (Middle of the Funnel): Consideration & Interest
  • Bottom of the funnel (BOFU): Purchase & Decision

The rationale explanation it’s termed or depicted as a funnel since there are a lot of individuals at the start of the process, during the initial cycle. Then, when they go to the next level, a few drop out, quitting the voyage and lowering the number of people.

The goal of determining these phases and how individuals travel through them is to optimize every marketing effort so that the majority of them make it to the bottom of the funnel and convert. 

Let’s assume we have a well-defined funnel route, and statistics indicate that we’re losing a significant number of individuals in the second step. Then, in the Interest & Engagement stage, we may dig further to discover the problem and adapt our strategy appropriately.

The Marketing Funnel Stages

  1. TOFU (Awareness and Discovery)

The first stage of the Facebook full- funnel is awareness and discovery. People become aware of an issue, and your product or service becomes a solution at this point. 

When someone recognizes a need, they begin seeking information to meet it at the top of the funnel. The initial contact between both the prospect and the company happens at this stage.

  1. MOFU (Interest and Consideration)

Interest & Consideration is the intermediate stage of the marketing funnel. Users are already familiar with you, your product or service, and engage actively with your material in this phase. 

Users usually analyze if the solution you give for their difficulty is correct during the Interest & Consideration stage. 

The prospects need to know more about you. They will ask for opinions and research to find the best alternative. So during this stage, it’s your job to provide as much information as you possibly can to help them learn what they can gain if they choose you.  

  1. BOFU (Decision and Purchase)

Decision & Purchase, often known as BOFU, is the final stage of the funnel. It indicates the point in the journey when consumers are just one step away from opting to convert. Users generally examine their budget, goals, and particular remedies for their major pain issue at this stage.

It’s when prospects compare several suppliers to find the best match for them. Is this the point in the negotiation that they need that big push to make a decision? 

Keep in mind that consumers who have progressed this far down the marketing funnel are already familiar with you and recognize the value your product or service provides.
