Trust is the foundation of this site. This page explains how I operate, what you can expect from the content here, and how I keep reviews and recommendations independent.
How Reviews Are Conducted
Hands-On Testing
Whenever possible, I use the tool or device in question for days or weeks. If hands-on testing isn’t possible—say, for enterprise software that requires a sales demo—I disclose it and rely on reputable documentation, changelogs, and verified user feedback.
Real-World Scenarios
Tests mimic real workflows. Setting up automations. Running a marketing campaign. Deploying software updates. Gaming over a weekend. Editing a video. I focus on how the product performs in the situations it’s designed for, not just in controlled benchmarks.
Long-Term Check-Ins
For popular tools and devices, I revisit them after major updates and revise the original review when needed. Tech changes fast, and I want the content here to stay accurate.
Editorial Independence
- Reviews, guides, and opinions are written or supervised solely by me, Bryson Finley.
- Brands do not pay for positive coverage, nor do they see drafts prior to publication.
- Loaned devices are returned unless the manufacturer explicitly states otherwise. Acceptance of a sample does not guarantee coverage.
- If a product underperforms, I say so—regardless of who made it or how much it costs.
Affiliate Links
- Some articles contain affiliate links. Clicking one and making a purchase may earn me a commission at no extra cost to you.
- Affiliate programs do not influence rankings, star ratings, or recommendations. If a product is weak, I call it out.
- Affiliate disclosures appear near the links or at the top of the page, depending on format.
Sponsored Content
- Sponsored pieces are rare. If one appears, it will be clearly labeled as “Sponsored” or “In Partnership With,” and the scope of the sponsor’s involvement will be disclosed.
- Sponsors never control conclusions, scores, or final wording.
Corrections & Updates
- Accuracy is important. If you find an error, use the contact page.
- Substantive corrections are timestamped at the top or bottom of the article.
- Articles are periodically updated to reflect product changes, price shifts, and new features.
No Professional Advice
FinTech
Articles about banking apps, payment platforms, or financial tools are informational only, based on testing and public documentation. They are not financial advice. Always consult a qualified financial professional before making major decisions.
Health & BioTech
Content about wearables, health tech, or biotech innovations is not medical advice. Consult healthcare professionals for diagnosis or treatment.
Legal & Compliance
Any mention of compliance frameworks (GDPR, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, etc.) is educational, not legal advice. Consult a lawyer for compliance guidance.
AI & Ghostwriting
All content is drafted and edited by me. I occasionally use AI tools for research prompts or idea validation, but final drafts are human-written, fact-checked, and verified.
